What We Do
MSPTA has and will continue to meet with and to work with the Mississippi Department of Revenue, Mississippi State University, and State Legislators to improve and simplify the tax formula on all agricultural land in Mississippi.
Our Mission
The mission of the MS Property Tax Alliance, Inc. is to put further restrictions on annual increases in property taxes on farmland, timberland, and other real estate.
What We've Achieved
MSPTA was influential in the passing of 2017 MS House Bill 1340, which reduces the rate of increase or decrease in the agricultural use value of farmland statewide to 4% from the 10% previously allowed by law.
